Luck Favors the Brave

It seems to me that there are some people that just always end up on top. And I was wondering why? A friend told me that there are some that are just lucky. I don't think luck has anything to do with it. I think the difference is that there are these people that go out and do things, win or lose. Yeah they might lose sometimes, but you don't usually remember them for losing, you remember them for winning.

I think that's the big difference. These people actually try to do new things. They are bold, and will take the initiative in all things. They are the life of the party, they are the ones with successful jobs. They are the ones that are happy, and content with their lives.

Nobody remembers the kid hiding in the corner, nobody thinks anything about the kid whos always in a bad mood. The one that says they are bored and nothing is happening in their lives. Nothing is happening because you don't make it happen. If I've learned anything its that life won't just fall in your lap, you've gotta go and make it happen.

I wouldn't have been able to use a backhoe, had I not asked. (It was freaking sweet!!!) And now I've taken the first steps in becoming a police officer. I took the POST entrance exam. (I don't know how well I did, reading and math are easy, but spelling and proper grammar are not my strong points) It wouldn't have happened if I didn't finally get off my but and do something about it.

EMO kids, take a note. Get off your buts and go do it. Take the initiative, get in the middle of things, do something for once for yourself. It doesn't matter if you have money or you don't, you won't be happy in life until you take control of your life and get out there and live it. It's all just a state of mind.
